There is a volunteer in every one of us!

Ever had a urge to help an old lady walking down the road with a heavy bag, struggling to balance herself? Ever had a spontaneous desire to help a blind student to cross the road? Ever felt like running errands for your elderly next door neighbour? Well , if you think deeply and try to go back over your past , you will find that sometime or the other, you may have had a urge to “selflessly” give yourself to something that has “touched your heart” , that in the real sense of the word, makes you happy. For that split moment, you are a donning the cap of a volunteer - a special characteristic that is in all of us , but which we intentionally ignore (sometimes deliberately suppress) in this past paced world.

Being a volunteer (for a cause) is nothing but being aware of those moments, acknowledging the goodness involved and carefully nurturing that goodness to take control of your overall personality. To my mind, everyone in life is a volunteer - while most suppress this divinity, others follow their heart to live a life of a volunteer.

Thus there is a volunteer in all of us - for most it is hidden, some have taken pains to carefully nurture this divine trait.
